About Me
I have been dancing since a very young age. During my first year of high school (2009), I found myself in a difficult predicament and I was dealing with depression. Fortunately, I found comfort in my dance coach, Ms. Laura Pinho. She helped me find myself and use dance as an outlet; I have not stopped dancing since. I took part in the Reseda High School Dance Team and several Sharp Cheer & Dance Competitions. I have found a strong passion for Modern dance at Los Angeles Pierce College. This is where I started choreographing my own numbers for multiple dance concerts. I have training in modern, hip hop, contemporary, jazz, and ballroom. In the spring of 2016, The Los Angeles Pierce College Dance Department honored me with a Merit Award in Modern Dance. Exactly a year later spring of 2017, The Los Angeles Pierce College Dance Department honored me in Dance Production & Performance. I’m currently a hip-hop and contemporary dance instructor for children ages 5-13 years old at the Young Men Christian Association of Los Angeles, YMCA. My kids have been able to perform at the 16th Annual Mid Valley Family’s Gala. I am hoping to start teaching adult hip-hop soon as well. I have also performed twice in X.ibition at Universal CityWalk. I also choreograph for quinceñeras in my spare time.
